According to The Mirror, the Reds have switched their sights from Christian Pulisic to Emil Forsberg for the January transfer window.
We had reportedly been targeting Pulisic as a potential January deal with his form for Dortmund suggesting that he is going to be a star.
The thought of him working under Jurgen Klopp was certainly an exciting one, too, but now it appears that is all but finished for now and we are instead looking at Forsberg.
A winger himself, Forsberg, like Pulisic, has shot to prominence this season thanks to his performances for Bundesliga side Red Bull Leipzig.
Leipzig have pulled up trees so far in the German top flight and the Swedish winger has been a big part of that – seeing his value rocket up to £20 million according to the report.
Forsberg could be our latest signing, then, but we’ll have to see whether we are willing to pay that amount for him.
