Speaking to BT (as quoted by The Metro,) Real Betis’ Riza Durmisi has said that he would be open to a move to Liverpool should we make an offer for him.

The left back has been a mainstay for the Spanish club this season with them currently a mid-table side in La Liga.

They drew last time out against Barcelona as former Red Luis Suarez scored late on to equalise and now it appears Durmisi could be up for a move if the opportunity arises.

Whilst he’s happy with Betis he said:

“I know about Liverpool’s interest, but I do not know how practical it is.

“There will always be a lot of talk when you play in one of the world’s best leagues.

“I am in no way desperate to get away (from Real Betis).

“If other clubs are ready to pay, and if Betis will sell me, I will of course listen to the offer.

“This also applies to Liverpool. Anything else would be idiocy.”

The Reds have of course been playing James Milner at left back this season with Alberto Moreno deemed not good enough so it makes sense to see left backs associated with our club.

The Daily Mail had already reported that our club were interested in the player’s services and so now it remains to be seen if anything happens before tomorrow’s deadline.
