According to The Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are not going to make a deal worth £26.5 million (€31.2 million,) for Roma’s Leandro Paredes.

The young midfielder has really shot to prominence for the side from the Italian capital this season with a number of fine displays in the middle of the park.

But, despite that, the Echo believes we’re not going to go after him and we will instead see out the window without signing anyone.

It’s been a very quiet window this time around with us, of course, not managing to get anyone in whilst we’ve really fallen apart on the pitch.

Tomorrow’s game against Chelsea in the Premier League probably marks our last chance to save our floundering title hopes and so it really could be a make or break day tomorrow on the pitch at least.

Off the pitch, though, it looks to be business (or rather lack of) as usual.
