According to Sky Italia (via HITC,) Liverpool are going to battle Everton for the signing of AS Roma defender and Greek international Kostas Manolas.
The defender is one of the most highly-rated centre halves in Italy at the moment and commands the back-line for the side from the Italian capital.
He’s known for his powerful displays at the back that see him very rarely outpaced and out-muscled by opposition attackers and that suggests he may be a suitable fit for Premier League football.
With the Reds still needing extra defensive bolstering such a signing could be idea for us especially when you consider the experience he has.
He’s used to playing at the sharp end of leagues whilst he has Champions League know-how and so, if we do go for him, we’ll be able to hopefully offer that level of football for next season – instead of Everton.
