Reported Reds target Julian Brandt has seemingly quashed any possibility of us signing him any time soon thanks to quotes to Bild (via TalkSport.)
TalkSport claim that both the Reds and Manchester City have been interested in the young German who appears to be becoming one of the next big things over in the Bundesliga.
Despite his young age he is more than comfortable at scoring goals at this level and with his current club Bayer Leverkusen having a pretty poor season, you’d think he’d consider a move away.
Instead, though, it looks like he’s happy to stay where he is for now with him saying:
“I would not be scared to dismiss Bayern [Munich] for a second time. The same goes for other clubs, too.”
This seems pretty definitive for now, then, and so if we do want to bring Brandt in it looks like we’ll have to play the long game for his signature.
