It may have been a quiet start to transfer dealings in 2017 with January’s performance but it appears the Reds are going to get things going soon.

We, of course, didn’t sign anyone during that particular window but it looks like the young Le Havre player Yasser Larouci could be on his way in to the club – according to The Liverpool Echo.

The 16-year-old has reportedly turned down the chance to sign a new contract with his current club in Ligue 2 in France and now it appears it’s only a matter of time before he joins us.

He’ll link up with the academy side once the deal goes through and then it remains to be seen whether or not he’ll be good enough to make it for the first team in the coming years.

An attacking midfielder, Larouci is known for his high work-rate and ability to press high up the pitch.
