It’s been one of those rumours that appears to not want to go away and once again the Joe Hart to Liverpool link has reared its familiar head.
With Loris Karius struggling in his debut season (though he has been better in the cups) and Simon Mignolet probably never going to be top drawer, it makes sense that a player like Hart has been spoken about.
Indeed, the fact that he’s completely out of Man City’s plans seems to be adding fuel to that fire and now apparently an approach has been made.
That’s according to Italian newspaper Tuttomercato (via The Express) at least, with it claiming that the Reds have made their interest known to the Citizens.
It of course remains to be seen if anything happens now but we certainly think if there is something in this we should seriously pursue it as Hart has the ability to transform our sometimes shaky back-line.
