Wind back to the summer and you may or may not remeber O Jogo’s report that we’d agreed a deal to sign Anderson Talisca.
We know what you’re thinking, of course, as that deal never actually came off – surprisingly or not – but now it appears Talisca could be on the brink of another move. No, really.
The previous Reds target could be on his way to Besiktas (via turkish-football) if they can stump up the fee for him – something they are trying to do through fundraising initiatives with the fans.
That’s their business, though, whilst what we’re thinking about is whether we were actually close to signing him or not and whether we’re going to go for him again with this latest interest.
We doubt we are, to be honest, and it may just have been a bullet dodged with him now linked with the Turkish side who, with all due respect, are not at our level.
