According to Sardinian newspaper La Nuova (via Clubcall,) Liverpool are scouting young Italian prospect Nicolo Barella.
The Reds always seem to be on the look out for the next young star to be developed by Jurgen Klopp and it appears that the attacking midfielder could just be it.
Seen as the main man for Cagliari, despite being only 20-years-old, it’s clear that he’s got a lot of potential whilst we’re also not alone in our reported scouting of him.
Indeed, Chelsea are also thought to be taking a look at his performances and so should any bid be made by us we should expect competition.
Our scouts were apparently at his side’s game with Fiorentina at the weekend – one they lost 1-0 – but he reportedly impressed individually against a far superior outfit.
It remains to be seen, then, if he carries on impressing.
