According to Spanish outlet Marca, the Reds are in the race for the highly-rated Las Palmas midfielder Roque Mesa.
It’s been pretty well-documented this season that our club does not have many options in midfield.
Indeed, it’s been pretty well-documented that we don’t have many options all over the pitch but at least it seems that the club is looking to do something about that in the summer.
Certainly, with us aiming to have Champions League football back at Anfield for 2017/18 bolstering the squad is a must and so Mesa could be a part of that.
The midfielder is bang in his prime which makes a change for FSG and their transfer policy whilst he has also impressed greatly for Las Palmas in La Liga this season.
Indeed, we are not apparently alone in our pursuit of him with the likes of Spurs, Everton, Bayern Munich and a number of Spanish sides all keen.
