According to French outlet TF1, the Reds are in talks to sign young Lyon man Jordy Gaspar.
Of course, this isn’t the most exciting transfer news in the world but it certainly could be if Gaspar becomes a star for the club under Jurgen Klopp.
There’s always that air of expectation, too, around the club when we even get close to signing a young star, now, as the German boss has got such a good record for developing young players.
Indeed, he built title winning sides around such an ability and though we want to win the league before Gaspar comes of age, we certainly hope he is going to be part of a league winning team, too.
The Lyon man is a right back by trade but can also play down the left side of defence and whilst he is still only very young, he has made a few appearances in Ligue 1 this season.
