For Liverpool to consider this season a success, we have to finish in the top four.
There can be no doubt about that, now, after crashing out contention for each of the competitions we started in this season.
Indeed, after resting players in the likes of the FA Cup to preserve our league form there can be no excuses for not finishing outside the top four and so it must be up to Jurgen Klopp and his men to get the job done.
Do that, and we’ll be surely looking to bring in extra players but it appears that, ahead of any potential European jaunt, we may not be able to call upon Julian Brandt’s services.
He has, of course, been named as a target of ours by the likes of The Liverpool Echo, but, according to Sport Bild (via The Echo,) he’s in talks with Bayern Munich.
If we want him, then, we’d better act sharpish.
