According to Goal.com, Jurgen Klopp could consider moving for Mario Gotze in a bid to help him revive his career.
That sound? That’d be a collective sharp intake of breath from around Merseyside and further afield as we consider just how wrong this transfer could go.
Indeed, had this been when Gotze was on top of the world we’d be lauding him right now but the more we see of him at the moment the more we think this deal could be a massive risk.
The Dortmund man has struggled on his return to the Bundesliga club and has looked well off the pace most of the time when he has played.
Certainly, then, he’d have to work hard to play for the Reds and we’re not sure if he’s got that in him anymore – something Jurgen will have to consider.
If it does work, then, we’ll all look silly for worrying but right now those concerns are more than valid.
