According to The Mirror, Liverpool are now firmly in the race for Max Meyer, though it looks like they’ll have to be ready for some serious competition.
It’s been a rumour floating about for some time but it does now seem to be more concrete with the Reds joining the likes of Spurs and Everton in the race for his signature.
The young midfielder has the great ability to take on players and ride opposition challenges and whilst we have the likes of Philippe Coutinho to also do that – squad strengthening is a must.
We want to be in the Champions League and having Meyer about would surely help us in that competition.
It looks like it could be quite the battle though, so let’s hope FSG get their wallets out if they’re serious about this one.
