According to The Mirror, Emre Can is stalling on signing a new contract with the club despite an offer being on the table for some time.
When we read this at first we were fairly shocked.
The German midfielder has hardly set the world on fire since joining from Bayer Leverkusen and so we find it hard to believe that he is trying to get more money out of the club than what is being offered at the moment.
That, at least, is what his agent apparently wants and it appears if we do not manage to get him to sign on the dotted line he’ll have plenty of potential suitors.
Indeed, the likes of Hoffenheim, Juventus, Red Bull Leipzig and his former club Bayer Leverkusen are all thought to be keen on bringing him in and so a bidding war could be on its way.
