You do get the feeling that although he’s not the captain nor a particularly senior figure, when he plays well the rest of the team does too.
Indeed, there seems to be, more often than not, a real case of extremes with Can where he is either sublime or awful. If he misplaces passes, fails to hassle the opposition and doesn’t break up play we’ll be exposed in the run-in but if he can turn on that switch and be the Rolls-Royce he has suggested he can be, we should be flying.
