According to French newspaper L’Equipe – via The Daily Star – Youri Tielemans is in advanced talks ahead of signing for Monaco.
The Belgian midfielder really is one of the most talented young stars in Europe at the moment and has undergone a real coming of age season with his current club Anderlecht.
Indeed, that seems to have led him to being on the verge of a deal with Monaco – who of course have a very good record of bringing talented young players through at the moment.
Of course, we’d have liked the talented star to sign for us – as he was linked with the Reds – but it looks as though we’ve missed the boat on his signature.
He didn’t seem like a really major target, though, and so we only hope the same doesn’t happen when we do really push for players in the summer.
