It’s a pretty well-known expectation around the Reds at the moment, but many do believe that we are going to spend a lot of money in the summer window.
Of course, it’s all relative, big figures from us might be small compared to another side if they decide to seriously blow all their money yet again – naming no names – but The Liverpool Echo does reckon the Reds are in for a bumper year.
It makes sense, of course, as, with our squad one of the thinnest around and also the prospect of some form of European football on the horizon next season, we need to seriously invest.
And, according to The Echo, invest is exactly what we’re going to do with a massive figure of £200 million getting mooted.
Even in this current inflated climate, that is ridiculously big, and we can only hope in such a splurge we sign genuinely quality players.
