According to The Telegraph, Liverpool are willing to play Emre Can into next season without him signing a new contract with the club.
We’ve seen this situation bubble along a fair bit over the last few months and with him entering his final year next season, we do feel that something needs to be sorted soon.
The Reds, however, are apparently pretty calm about the situation and it seems as though Jurgen Klopp is in control of things.
Of course, the worry is that we’re going to let him go on a free but it is thought that our German boss rates the midfielder highly and is happy to see the situation drag on into next season.
Indeed, the idea partly behind it is that he has been playing very well recently despite the situation and so, even if there is only a year left, there is no real rush to get something sorted.
