Whilst we were caught up in the euphoria that accompanies beating Everton at Anfield, it was easy to forget that transfer stories were still being produced.
Of course, some of the time that’s a pretty nice feeling not having to sift through the blatantly wrong but even so some reports do catch the eye and are worth exploring.
Indeed, over the last couple of days we’ve seen a report about Simon Kjaer gather pace with Turkish-Football the ones who appear to have gotten this scoop first.
For sure, if they are right, the Reds are taking steps towards signing the Danish centre-back with us apparently scouting the player who could cost €20m (£17m.)
It’s thought, though, that Manchester United are also keen on his signature and so this could be a real battle to keep an eye on, if we decide to follow up on our scouting.
