What a turn around it’s been for Emre Can at Liverpool in recent weeks – marking yet another severe twist in his form.

The Reds have been going well in recent weeks – despite the losses of Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana – and a large part of that is thanks to the performances of Can improving.

Indeed, he seems to be playing like the midfielder we know he can be and now he needs to get that consistency in his game to really kick-on.

For sure, that will be massively important in terms of the Champions League and qualifying for it and – as quoted by The Daily Mail – the German has warned our competition we’re getting back to our best.

He said:

“It has not been secured (with this result) but it is our target to play in the Champions League.

“In December, January and February was not our best football but now we are back, we did it in the last couple of games.

“It was very important to win that game. There are still eight games to go and we have to keep it up.”

Certainly, then, Can appears ready for the fight and we can only hope the rest of the squad is, too, with just a handful of games left to go.
