Well, we’ve been waiting since the weekend to hear about Sadio Mane and we’ve finally got our answer – and it’s not a good one.
The Merseyside Derby was its usual physical self when we played Everton on Saturday and whilst the challenges flew in the Senegalese winger somehow managed to injure himself in a pretty awkward looking challenge.
For sure, it wasn’t a great looking twist on the knee and now – according to Talksport – the winger will now need surgery on it.
That operation will more than likely keep him out of the Reds’ surge for the Champions League places too, then, and so it really does remain to be seen how we get through it.
Of course, when he was away at AFCON we really struggled and so we can only hope Jurgen Klopp has thought of a plan to get through it this time around.
