According to The Independent, Liverpool are scouting Atletico Madrid left-back Theo Hernandez though Real Madrid are also thought to be involved.
The left side of defence has been an issue for us for some time and it really has come to a head this season.
Indeed, it became pretty clear early on in Alberto Moreno’s career at Anfield that he was not going to be good enough defensively for us and so far our solution has been James Milner.
Milner, of course, has done a good job but we cannot carry on with a midfielder playing there if we want to truly challenge for the league.
Hernandez, then, could be the man to help solve that problem with him really looking like a good young player with plenty of potential.
He could be at the club for some time, then, but we’ll have to shrug off the overtures of Real by the looks of it.
