As quoted by the club’s official website, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed the latest over the fitness of Roberto Firmino.

The Brazilian forward missed out on the game against West Ham over the weekend thanks to a muscle injury and despite training on Friday he was deemed not fit enough to play at the London Stadium.

Fortunately enough, we did not miss him too much with Daniel Sturridge coming in to help the club to a 4-0 win and now it remains to be seen whether Firmino is fit for Middlesbrough this weekend coming.

Indeed, he just might be as Klopp said when asked if he could play against Boro:

“Not a real idea, but it’s a bigger chance than for this game today [against West Ham.]”

Firmino, then, just might be able to play in the final game of the season in which a win would see us confirm Champions League football for 2017/18.
