According to The Daily Star, Liverpool are looking to sign Cesc Fabregas from Chelsea when the summer window opens.
We know what you’re thinking and, yes, it does seem highly unlikely but with the Spaniard still out of favour at Stamford Bridge there is a case that he would want to move on in the summer.
And, with the Reds hopefully in the Champions League next season and needing a player with real craft and guile, you could certainly say that Fabregas would improve our team to some extent.
Okay so we’re still not quite sure about this one in terms of the likelihood of it happening but whilst the report is there we can entertain it and wait and see if it happens.
Certainly, it would suggest FSG and Klopp are going for proven stars in this window if it was to happen and that, at least, has to be welcomed.
