The defender chase is going to be one that goes on for the whole of the summer, you feel, now that the Virgil van Dijk deal is well off of the table.
Indeed, since the Dutchman’s deal was completely wiped away after the way we handled things it’s pretty much anyone’s guess as to who our main defensive target is now.
Indeed, plenty of players are getting linked with the likes of Simon Kjaer one of the names to be mentioned – by Team Talk.
It appears, though, that if we’re going to bring him in we’re going to have to pay more than we would have previously with Fanatik – via Team Talk – claiming that Fenerbahce have upped their asking price.
The Reds, then, if they want Kjaer might have to pay £17.5 million and so it remains to be seen if we move for him this summer.
