According to The Daily Mail, Liverpool are still hopeful that Emre Can will sign a new deal with the club – despite Juventus’ apparent interest in the midfielder.
Can went through a bit of a roller-coaster year last season with him displaying the best and the worst of his game.
Indeed, when he played well he suggested that he could be a leading midfielder at this level in the future and so consistency is the thing he needs to work on most.
For sure, we’d give him a new deal to see if he can achieve just that because he certainly has talent but with just a year left on his current deal there is always going to be uncertainty.
Even so, the Reds don’t seem to panicky at the moment and so we should expect to see this one confirmed within due course.
