According to French outlet L’Equipe – via Talksport – Liverpool could miss out on Benjamin Mendy with his current club Monaco apparently determined to keep him.
The young full-back is one of the many impressive names to have emerged for the Ligue 1 champions over the last season or so and, naturally, is now getting linked away.
Monaco, though, are bound to want to keep their best players to see what they can do together and that seems to be the case with Mendy.
Now a French international, the 22-year-old really does motor up and down the pitch and would be a class addition to our squad but it seems as though only a massive bid is going to prise him away.
For the Reds, then, is up to them if they want to throw a large sum of cash at the deal and see what happens.
