According to The Times, Liverpool are looking at getting rid of some of the fringe players in the squad in order to try and raise extra funds for new players.

Make no mistake, our squad is probably the weakest of the top six at the moment and so we do need to seriously upgrade it in terms of quality.

It looks as though we’re determined to do that, too, but the Reds undoubtedly will look to get rid of some players to help boost the books.

Indeed, the likes of Alberto Moreno, Mamdou Sakho and Lazar Markovic are all being touted with leaving the club and that would certainly make sense with all three not looking like they’re going to play much under Jurgen Klopp.

For sure, Moreno and Markovic are likely not good enough whilst Sakho and Klopp evidently don’t get on so these are moves that would make sense.

Thoughts, Reds? Let us know below!
