As per TeamTalk, Ben Woodburn has received a calf injury and has had to pull out of the Welsh national squad for their games this month.
The young attacker enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last season in which he featured on a handful of occasions for the senior side.
Indeed, his most notable appearance came in the EFL Cup against Leeds where he became the Reds’ youngest ever scorer at the senior level.
Certainly, his call-up to the Welsh squad was the latest positive in his fledgling career but he’s now not going to get the chance to play for his country.
Indeed, he’ll have to recover from that knock before playing again and we’re hoping it’s a quick turnaround for him given how important it is for young players to remain injury free.
