According to Chronicle Live, Liverpool and Newcastle have begun talks over a potential loan deal for Sheyi Ojo – the Reds’ young winger.
We’ve only seen glimpses of what Ojo can do for the club over the last couple of years and it does seem as though he could do with a move away to get more minutes.
Indeed, it’s at this point in his career he could do with extra game-time at the top level to improve as a player and with it looking unlikely that he’ll get some here, he’s better off going elsewhere.
Newcastle, then, could be the perfect club for him to develop – as long as he actually plays – and we’re sure the Reds will be looking for assurances that will happen with Ojo from the Magpies.
