According to The Liverpool Echo, the Reds have pulled out of the race for Ryan Sessegnon with it now looking likely that he is off to Spurs instead.
We’ve long been linked with the exciting young Fulham full-back and at one point it looked as though he was Jurgen Klopp’s key target for the left-back role.
Instead, though, he seems more likely to go to White Hart Lane and we are now apparently looking at Andrew Robertson of Hull instead.
Robertson, of course, is a decent player in his own right but we can’t pretend we’re not disappointed that young Sessegnon will not be coming to Anfield by the looks of things.
He does seem like one of the best players to have come through in recent seasons and so to have had him learning at Melwood would have been exciting.
