According to the official club website, James Milner is back in training after a brief spell out injured.

The vice-captain limped off of the pitch against Leicester City in the Premier League Asia Trophy with a quad issue but has recovered and is now back on the training field.

It’ll be interesting to see where he plays this season coming now Andy Robertson has arrived as a left back after he proved last year he is more than capable of playing there.

Meanwhile, though, Dejan Lovren and Divock Origi are being monitored by the club’s medical staff with the pair also carrying minor knocks as the Reds participate in the Audi Cup.

We beat Hertha Berlin 3-0 yesterday in a friendly and are now in the tournament with the likes of Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich who we take on next.
