According to Spanish outlet Sport, the Reds have placed a whopping £133 million price-tag on 25-year-old Philippe Coutinho ahead of any potential move.
This, then, would absolutely smash the previous record for a fee received for one of our players (£50 million for Fernando Torres) and really does highlight the huge amount of cash swimming about in the market right now.
Indeed, we’ve seen plenty of expensive deals go through this summer and many are thinking that Barcelona are upping their efforts in a bid to sign the midfielder.
Whether they match this price, though, remains to be seen though they might just have the cash if they decide to sell Neymar to PSG in this window.
It could be a tense few weeks coming up, then, though we still think Coutinho will be staying put.
