As quoted by the club’s official website, Jurgen Klopp has revealed the latest on our injured players at the club at the moment.

The Reds head into the weekend with a game against Crystal Palace on the agenda at Anfield and it’s a match we need to win after drawing with Watford last weekend.

For sure, Palace will also be itching to get a result after losing to Huddersfield last weekend and so it’s going to be a highly contested affair once it kicks off.

Klopp, then, has provided an update into our squad’s fitness ahead of the game and revealed that Daniel Sturridge is back in training and available for selection – though Philippe Coutinho and Nathaniel Clyne are still out:

“Daniel yes, I would say [is ready.]

“Yesterday he was part of the complete session and looked really good, but always after injuries you have to wait to see how the player reacts to this intensity.

“Phil is not available; he is not training so far, so there is nothing new. It is always how it is with injured players, there is no real time on when he is back.”

With Clyne, meanwhile, there is “no change.”

Sturridge, then, has looked sharp in pre-season and will hopefully fire in some goals if he plays whilst Clyne’s injury still looks significant and Coutinho’s will probably fix itself come the end of the window if you catch our drift…
