As quoted by the Daily Record, former Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam has suggested that Kieran Tierney could play for the Reds in the future such is his ability.
The young full-back really is a top talent and is one of Scotland’s and Celtic’s best players – despite his young age.
For sure, it’s very rare to see a young defender pen down a place in a top side and an international XI but Tierney seems to have done that and he should, theoretically, get only better.
That, then, could lead him to signing for one of the biggest sides in this country, then, according to Adam, who tipped Liverpool as a potential destination.
He said:
“Tierney is Scotland’s best player now – he’s different to anything else we’ve got. He is the next one who could go to a Premier League club and play regularly. He could play for a Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal or Manchester United without a doubt.”
A bold claim from Adam, then, but we’ve certainly been impressed by what we’ve seen of Tierney ourselves but it remains to be seen if Jurgen Klopp bothers chasing him with Andrew Robertson having just signed.
