According to The Daily Mail, Liverpool are monitoring young talent Perr Schuurs with him currently at Fortuna Sittard.
The Reds have got a knack of getting linked with young players and, though many don’t seem to go past the rumour stage, this one does have real substance.
Indeed, with the 17-year-old defender already a regular with his current club, it is thought that he impressed when on trial at the Anfield club earlier this year.
He could be the next member of our academy in the coming weeks and months, then, and, though it’ll be a long way off, we hope he proves to be a good defender for us in the seasons to come if he does sign.
Certainly, we need to breed a culture of good defending right now.
