It’s not going to go away is it? Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho is still being linked with Barcelona ahead of a January move now.
Indeed, though we’re still closer to the window that has finished than the next one to come, this rumour is persisting and the La Liga side clearly wants to get him in ASAP.
It appears, though, that they’ll be wasting their time pushing for a move mid-season, with The Independent reporting that Liverpool will avoid entering negotiations for the player half-way through the campaign.
Certainly, we were steadfast in the summer in terms of keeping hold of the player and we have no reason to suggest why the stance from FSG could change come January.
Indeed, it would be obviously ridiculous to let him go in the middle of the season and so we’re not too concerned by this.
