As per oddschecker, Sadio Mane’s injury as seen a whole flurry of bets placed on Manchester United ahead of our game with them this weekend.
The Reds were dealt the news yesterday that Mane had been injured with Senegal on international duty and that he now faces six weeks out.
That means that he is going to miss crucial games in the Champions League, as well as our clash with Spurs, and of course this weekend’s tie with our old foes.
And, rather worryingly for us, it seems as though United are favourites for the game now with 59.8% of bets on a United win since it was revealed he was going to be out.
Bets on Liverpool meanwhile, are at 24.6%, when before the Mane news things were pretty even.
Liverpool, then, are going to have to overcome the odds as well as the Mane injury this weekend.
