According to The Mirror, Liverpool’s owners FSG would consider selling the club for a massive £1 billion if the right people came up with such an offer.
Though there is nothing really substantial going on at the moment in terms of a takeover, there is a clear suggestion that FSG would entertain the idea if the massive figure was stumped up.
And, though of course it is a lot of money, for top level football owners, that is the price you have to pay these days.
Indeed, all the top clubs seem to have billionaire owners and, though it seems pretty crazy to suggest, clubs are going to get left behind if they don’t have one.
