Former Liverpool star Luis Suarez has been speaking to Mundo Deportivo with him deciding to praise Philippe Coutinho pretty vocally.
The Reds have seen Barca off once this season with them being told that they were not going to get Coutinho in the summer but it looks as though there is going to be another salvo from Barca in January.
For sure, then, we’re going to have to be firm with them again, though Suarez seems to be doing his best to try and grease the wheels of the potential deal.
Indeed, speaking highly of Coutinho, he said:
“He’d bring a lot.
“I know him as a person and as a player because I played with him, but what Coutinho can contribute everyone knows.
“He is a footballer, who today, plays at a very high level.
“And any player would want to come to Barcelona.”
It’s pretty annoying that Suarez has done this, but we’re not shocked given how things are in football these days.
