Though we’ve been impressed with what Andy Robertson has done in a Reds shirt so far in his Liverpool career, the Scottish left-back has not actually played that much.
Indeed, in signing from Hull City in the summer it appeared as though he would be our first choice left-back and Alberto Moreno would be out of the side once more but the Spaniard has been in good form.
Indeed, at the moment he is our first-choice and so Robertson, for his decent displays, is going to have to remain patient.
Even so, he’ll surely get his chance at some point and Klopp feels as though Robertson should take inspiration from the turnaround seen from Moreno.
As quoted by the club’s official site he said:
“It’s the exact same situation for Andy Robertson.
“People will say ‘why do you do that? Because he is here and not playing?’
“Because he has to learn. But there is no problem. We are in conversation, talk about it and he has to improve.”
Clearly, then, Robertson has some work to do but we like the look of him and so we’re more than keen to see that he can get better.
