Taking the Ultimate XI challenge for the club’s official website and YouTube channel, Daniel Sturridge has named his best ever XI.
Consisting of players he has both played with and against, Sturridge’s XI is awash with quality as players associated with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United join one Liverpool legend and some European-based greats.
Perhaps one glaring omission is Luis Suarez with the Uruguayan forward and the England international forming one of the most potent front-lines in our club’s recent history.
A rivalry has been hinted at between the two before, but we’re pretty sure that hasn’t come into it with Sturridge providing reasons for each of his selections in what is a very good team.
