As quoted by the club’s official website, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp revealed the certainty with which the Reds moved for 25-year-old Mo Salah in the summer.
The Egyptian winger was signed from Roma in the last window and duly went about scoring goals from the get-go with him now having notched 12 so far this season.
It’s certainly been the kind of return we could have only hoped for at the beginning of the year, and it looks as though the Reds were right in going after him.
Indeed, Klopp has revealed how certain club personnel were about bringing him in:
“We were sure he can help us. Michael Edwards, Dave Fallows and Barry [Hunter], they were really in my ear and were on it: ‘Come on, come on, Mo Salah, he’s the solution!”
Certainly, they were right to bring him in and now it remains to be seen whether or not we move for other players so swiftly.
