According to Paul Joyce in the Times, Borussia Dortmund are now the latest side interested in trying to get Emre Can off of Liverpool.
The contract situation has been dragging on with the Reds for some time and with his current deal expiring at the end of this season, we still haven’t reached an agreement.
Indeed, the Reds really do need to act now with Dortmund joining Juventus and Manchester City in the race – as the latter were revealed to be interested over the weekend.
Can has improved greatly in recent months and is arguably our first choice central midfielder with the power he brings to that role.
He still has room to get better but he is only young and so he should do that, which is why the Reds need to sort this out before it spirals further out of our control.
