As per Raphael Honingstein’s latest book on Jurgen Klopp ‘Bring the Noise,’ it’s been revealed our manager turned down a move to Manchester United.

The biography, being serialised in the Daily Mail, takes a look at all things to do with our current boss but it could have been different – had United gone with a less ridiculous pitch back in 2014.

Indeed, at that point United were looking to replace David Moyes and, rather amusingly, Ed Woodward tried to persuade Klopp to sign by describing the club as an ‘Adult Disneyland.’

What that exactly means is anyone’s guess but it’s safe to say it didn’t work out as Klopp remained with Dortmund for a little while longer.

He did, of course, end up coming to the Reds in just over a year’s time with it apparent that we got our pitch across a little better than our arch-rivals.
