Speaking to tuttosport – via Calciomercato – Oliver Bierhoff has said that there is a good chance Emre Can could leave Liverpool.
The German midfielder is in the final season of his contract and is free to move away in the summer with this saga really drawing out.
Certainly, we’d like to see him stay put but the Juventus rumours are not going away and Bierhoff has poured petrol on the fire.
It appears, then, that we’d better act quickly as the German has addressed the chances of both Can and Goretzka going to Italy with him saying:
“For Goretzka there is not much of a chance, perhaps not even 20%. Emre Can, I think he has a lot more, I would say 60-80% .”
A pretty substantial chance and though we don’t know how in the know Bierhoff is we’d certainly rather the Reds offered a new deal and have done with.
