As per The Mirror, Liverpool have beaten the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United to the signing of young full-back Tony Gallacher.
The Reds have a good record of getting young British players through to the first team and it appears that Gallacher feels that we are the right club in order for him to forge a successful career.
The player joins from Scottish side Falkirk after a trial period with the Reds and will initially link up with the U23 side where he’ll hopefully settle in quickly and perform.
He’ll surely be aiming to follow in the footsteps of Andy Robertson in terms of playing for our first team and we’re certainly looking forward to watching him grow.
Beating Barca or United to any signing is always sweet and now we’re hoping to see that it’s a deal worth getting excited about.
