According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are leading Manchester United and then Liverpool for Barcelona defender Aleix Vidal.
This story comes from the Italian outlet – via Inside Futbol – and it looks as though the Serie A side are best placed to sign the La Liga based player.
Vidal has not really hit the heights expected of him at Barcelona and it looks as though he could move away from Spain come the end of the month.
The Reds have been linked with him, too, but nothing ever seemed to come from these rumours in terms of talks or an offer and it would appear we’ve fallen behind in the chase.
Not to worry, though, as our full-back options are better than last season and so we’re not too concerned if we miss out on Vidal with him still questionable in terms of defensive attributes.
