According to Karl-Heinz Rumenigge, nothing is set in stone about Leon Goretzka and that should give hope to the Reds.
With Emre Can still yet to sign a new contract with the club, we’ve started to be linked to new central midfielders with it seeming that Goretzka is the most chief of them.
It was reported earlier this month he had agreed to join Bayern, though, therefore scuppering our plans, but that seems a little wide of the mark.
Indeed, Bayern’s Rumenigge has said – via Sky Germany – nothing is done yet:
“You only have an agreement, when the contract is signed and the player passed the medical tests. We are not that far yet.”
There might still be hope for the Reds to get him, then, but it would seem that it’s only a few days away before we all know where his future is set to lie.
